Initial intake/assessment ($150):
This is a longer session where I gather both historical and present information about you, your family, your needs, your strengths, and your desires. If you would like a formal diagnosis, the information gathered during this time will assist me in determining such. This session lasts approximately 75 minutes (but allows for up to 90 minutes). There are times when situations are such that the full assessment cannot be completed within one session; however, you will only be charged one session at the intake rate. The additional session will be charged as a typical individual counseling session. This typically happens with a recent traumatic loss or incident.
Individual counseling ($120):
This is a 1:1 session that lasts approximately 50 minutes (which is equivalent to one clinical hour to allow for documentation). The idea of individual counseling is to assist you in identifying areas where you would like to grow, help you to heal from old (or new) wounds, and provide you with the opportunity to learn new strategies so that the next time you encounter something similar, you are able to process through it with more confidence and ease. I will stay in your life for as long as necessary, but I love when my clients recognize their strength and decide that it is time to spread their wings and fly.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) session ($120-$240):
An individual ART session can last between 60-120 minutes. Each session allows for a full ART session with additional discussion before, after, or both. Some ART sessions may take longer than others depending upon the person, the complexity of the identified situation to be processed, and follow-up discussion after the session. We will discuss this prior to the session being scheduled. Sessions will be charged at 15 minute increments for any time that goes beyond the 60 minute session. Each increment will be charged at $30. For example, a 75 minute session will be charged at a rate of $150.
Group therapy ($50/person/session):
At times, group therapy may be offered for specific groups of people who are currently experiencing similar life circumstances. The group provides a sense of community, and support, and can “normalize” feelings when you are wondering if you have lost your mind completely. It is a mixture of educational material and group processing. Groups will have an identified topic to learn about and process; therefore, it is important to be able to commit to each group session. Typical groups range between 4-8 sessions depending upon the topic and group. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. Please contact me with questions regarding upcoming groups or if you have suggestions for a group topic that you would like for me to offer.
IEP/504 Consultation Services (minimum of 3- 45 minute sessions starting at $60 per session):
If your child is struggling with school and you feel that they need additional assistance to be successful (you know they have the potential to do better…academically, socially, behaviorally) but you aren’t sure how to navigate Special Education Services, I can help you to get the process started. It could be that your child already has an existing IEP/504 Plan in place; however, it doesn’t seem to be helping…let me take a look at it and see what I can assist you with to better serve your child.
The three Consultation Sessions are: 1) introduction, 2) review of records, 3) planning/wrap up session. If more sessions or additional services are needed, we can explore other options and prices as we move through the process.
I know how scary, confusing, and overwhelming the process can be to get a child the appropriate support in the educational system. I know the push back that is often given and how valuable it is to be armed with the knowledge or even having someone there with you and your child to provide additional support. Not only will I assist you through the process, I will connect you with valuable resources that you can continue to use beyond the completed consultation sessions.
Speaking engagements (rates vary):
Are you looking for a mental health expert to provide a presentation on a specific topic to your agency, group, church, etc? Please feel free to reach out and inquire about availability for such. I love sharing knowledge and information on a variety of topics. Let’s see if I have what you need!
Good Faith Estimate for Private Pay (not utilizing Out-Of-Network insurance benefits)
Under the law, health care providers must provide patients who are not using insurance with an estimate of the bill for their non-emergency healthcare services, called a Good Faith Estimate. I will provide this estimate to you as part of the Informed Consent process if you decide to initiate services. You can also request it at any time.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
*In addition, I recognize that there can be barriers to obtaining appropriate mental health counseling services. I offer telehealth for those who prefer such, who lack transportation, who are ill at the time of service, or who are unable to physically come into the office. I also offer a very limited number of reduced rate sessions for those who are TRULY in need of such. Financial records may be requested prior to approval of receiving a reduced rate. Reduced rate sessions are not able to be provided for those who are seeking insurance reimbursement and are based upon availability.
